Consensual Qualitative Research on intern Music Therapist’ Teamwork Experience with Co-therapist

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to examine the teamwork experience during music therapy internship. The researcher interviewed 11 music therapists about their internship experiences. The consensual qualitative research menthod was used to analyze the interview data. The researchers analyzed the results using consensual qualitative analysis methods for teamwork experience in internship through in-depth interviews aimed at practitioners of music therapy and music therapists with experience in teamwork. Four domains and 17 categories were revealed. The four domains included ‘complementary experience’, ‘conflict experience’, ‘conflict overcoming experience’ and ‘growth experience’. This qualitative study contributes to promoting the significance of teamwork in music therapy practice, and provides important information for supervising intern music therapists.
